What these policies cover.

LARP Shop sells and displays two main lanes: Physical and Digital. Physical means items that can be shipped or physically used. Digital means tools, programs, services, articles, gated access, or other online-side offers.

These policies explain how checkout, shipping, delivery, digital access, refunds, privacy, and acceptable use should work. They are written for the current MVP structure and should be reviewed before taking real payments.

Before launch: replace placeholder contact emails, confirm your payment processor, confirm your fulfillment method, and make sure the actual product listings match what you can deliver.

Physical shipping policy

For shipped products, props, wearables, desk pieces, room items, and photo gear.

Physical items require an accurate shipping address. Customers are responsible for entering the correct name, address, apartment/unit number, city, state, ZIP/postal code, and country when needed.

  • Processing: Physical orders should not be treated as fulfilled until product availability, address, and payment have been confirmed.
  • Shipping time: Shipping times may vary based on supplier, location, carrier, and item type. Exact timing should be shown or confirmed before fulfillment.
  • Wrong address: If the customer enters the wrong address, LARP Shop may not be responsible for lost or delayed packages once the order is shipped.
  • Lost or damaged items: Customers should contact support with order details and photos if an item arrives damaged or does not arrive.

Digital delivery policy

For tools, programs, services, articles, gated pages, and online upgrades.

Digital items are broad. A Digital item may be a tool, program, service, article, gated page, private link, online utility, or access-based offer. Delivery depends on the item type.

Tools / access

Access may be delivered through a link, gated page, account, code, or other online method after successful checkout.

Services

Request-based services may require customer notes, a handle, screenshots, profile link, or follow-up details before work starts.

Articles / guides

Paywalled content may be delivered through a private page, link, email, or gated access system.

Programs

Programs may include multiple steps, access instructions, or staged delivery depending on what the product listing says.

Customers are responsible for providing a valid email or contact method for digital delivery. Digital access may be delayed if customer information is missing or incorrect.

Checkout and payment policy

For the Checkout and future payment integration.

The Checkout page is designed to send cart and customer data to a payment backend. Payment information should be handled by a secure provider such as Stripe, PayPal, or another trusted processor.

  • No raw card storage: LARP Shop should not collect or store full card numbers directly on the website.
  • Hosted checkout: The preferred setup is to redirect customers to a secure hosted checkout page provided by the payment processor.
  • Price changes: Prices should be accurate at checkout. If an item price or availability changes, the customer should be informed before fulfillment.
  • Taxes and shipping: Taxes, shipping, and fees may be calculated separately depending on the payment provider and fulfillment setup.

Refund and cancellation policy

Physical, Digital, and service-based refunds are not the same.

Refunds depend on the item type, order status, delivery status, and whether access or service work has already started.

Physical refunds

Physical items may be refundable if they have not shipped yet, arrive damaged, or are materially different from the listing. Return shipping rules should be confirmed before launch.

Digital refunds

Digital items may become non-refundable once access, content, files, links, or gated material have been delivered.

Service refunds

Request-based service items may become non-refundable once work has started or custom output has been delivered.

Cancellations

Customers should request cancellation as soon as possible. Cancellation may not be available after shipping, digital access, or service work begins.

Final refund rules should be tightened before live payment. Use plain language on product pages when an item has special refund limits.

Privacy policy

What customer information is collected and why.

LARP Shop may collect information needed to run checkout, deliver orders, answer support requests, and improve the site. This may include name, email, handle, shipping address, cart items, notes, order details, and payment status.
